Yep, all set up now!
Had a case from Amazon shipped in

Got it for the grand total of just over £35 including the shipping. It doesn't have a power supply but I brought my old 1 kilowatt modular beasty with me. I took the old PC apart and just put various bits in different suitcases, except for the power supply which I brought over as hand luggage on the plane. I thought "a square box with wires hanging out of it" it might cause problems at the airport so kept in on me rather than risk them blowing up my suitcase.
Turns out they didn't bat an eyelid
I also had a new £25 GFX card shipped in as the fan died on my old one a while ago and I had hot-glued a case fan to the heatsink to keep it cool. It was a blt ugly but worked just fine
The only problem I had was a stick of memory died in transit - not sure why but I think it might have something to do with the fact my wife wrapped it in plastic (doh!).
I was hoping my hard drives would get damaged as I literally threw them on the top of the suitcase before zipping it up but they survived - now I have to think of another way to justify the expense of getting a couple of 1Tb drives.
