First of all. it's a great add to Raven Nuke!!

I'm having a kind of issue with the special characters in Spanish like vowels with accent and
When previewing the post before sending it, and if any of those special characters are in the message, nothing will appear in the preview and the whole message is removed!! On the contrary, when writing in English everything goes as it's supposed to.

There must be something to fix in Forums/posting.php in order to enable the special characters. I've installed the ABBC_Box v 2.5 immediately after installing the whole site step by step, so I'm not aware if this might be the ABBC or the core code of Raven Nuke v 2.5.1.

The second thing, the button of code languages in ABBC_Box won't display the select box, it'll write [ code ] in the text area instead. All the other functions are ok.

BTW, I tried to write some spanish special characters in this message and preview it before sending, and it Works perfect here!!

I really appreciate any help.

Many thanks

sorry i missed your post. still having issues?

I will be revisiting this script after our next release, and with the switch to utf8 there should be better support for special characters all around. Although if you aren't having the same issues here, the issue might be elsewhere. Without something specific I can reproduce it's difficult for me to be of too much help. Is this a live or testing site?

Hi, and thanks for replying.
Yes, I'm still having the same issues, and although I did a lot of searching about this, I found nothing useful refering to this and may be I'm the only one to have such an issue!! The site is still on testing phase, and soon will be launched to the public. I think you will need an access to have a look whenever you have time to, so I pm'ed you a link to register.
Thanks so much again for any help.

Hi

Referring to the charset, it has been solved changing some lines in posting.php
If somebody would have this issue on preview, here is the solution:

I found a solution to this issue in case somebody else comes to the same:

in posting_body.tpl
Find
php Code:
<img src="images/transparent.gif" class="postimage bbc-inactive" id="abbccode" onclick="{S_ABBC_CODETYPE}()" onmouseover="helpline('abbccode')" alt="" />

and replace it with

php Code:
<img src="images/transparent.gif" class="postimage bbc-inactive" id="abbccode" onclick="BBCcodetype()" onmouseover="helpline('abbccode')" alt="" />

There is NO function: S_ABBC_CODETYPE in the bbcode_box.js !!!

But still I have some other issue which has no relation with this modification because I tried it before and after changing that function:

When trying to post the above code on my board the "onclick" statement has been removed from the preview and removed from the post when sent!

Thank you for your kind attention and help Smile

Problem solved by turning HTML to disabled on the forum!!
There is no need to change the "{S_ABBC_CODETYPE}()" into "BBCcodetype()" as I suggested in earlier post here, instead you should turn $UseCodeHighligher in: includes/addons/head-abbcbox.php to true as "spasticdonkey" posted, for the code display button to work.
That's in case somebody else would come to the same struggle!

Many many thanks!! Very Happy
